25 years ago when Alicia started teaching art to kids. Her passion of art, animals and teaching was the perfect marriage. Her art projects are multi medium with an emphasis on exploration of techniques and ones own inner creativity. Art should be fun, but at the same time it is a perfect time to teach a lesson of compassion. As the Dali Lama said “we need an education of the heart”. There is nothing more rewarding then a smile on a child’s face.

Kids get inspired by the artist that came before them. Here my kindergartens learned about Kandinsky and his piece Squares with Consecutive Circles . They worked with oil pastels and warm and cool colors. They also learned how to sign their name to their work. Smiles for all.

My kindergarten class loved learning about form with these 3D flowers. Mixing primary colors to make secondary was so fun to watch. Kids are amazed as new colors appear!.
